How long have you been part of the KMPF team, and what does your role involve?

“I’ve been KMPF Interim Hub Manager since March 2026 but have previously working with KMPF on and off during my time at CCCU since 2018. My role is to manage the KMPF core team and have strategic oversight of the OfS Collaborative Outreach strand of our work on behalf of partner universities, colleges and schools across Kent and Medway.”

What do you enjoy most about your role?

“I really enjoy getting to work with such a broad range of passionate and knowledgeable professionals from our schools, FE colleges, University partners, third sector organisations and the wider network of Hub Leads across the country! It’s a really diverse role which allows me to make connections which are really rewarding for me from a professional perspective but also translate to a growing network of opportunities for the young people in Kent and Medway who are at the centre of what we do.”

What did you do before joining KMPF, and how has that experience helped you in your current role?

“Before joining KMPF I was working in Higher Education with a background in Student Recruitment, Partnership Management, Admissions and Widening Participation. My experience gives me a good understanding of options available to young people when considering progression routes, how students apply and what challenges they may face. That’s been beneficial to so much of the work we do at KMPF, and I’ve been able to bring my strategic understanding of those areas of our conversations with partners.”

Is there a project you’ve worked on that you’re especially proud of? Why?

“I was extremely proud to deliver the KMPF 25th Anniversary Parliamentary Event. It was a real privilege to be able to showcase the breadth and depth of work of this organisation has provided in Kent and Medway in such important company with key stakeholders and influencers. It was a unique opportunity to reflect and set our course for the next phase of the work we do.”

Tell us something fun or surprising about yourself.

“I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and then transitioned to teaching swimming as my first job! I am glad to now firmly work on dry land.”
