Professionals working with children in care and care leavers are invited to a free CPD session, Opening Doors: Supporting Care-Experienced Students into University, taking place in October 2025. This training is designed for key staff, including advocates, social workers, virtual school teams, and others supporting young people through the transition into higher education.
Attendees will explore pathways to university, opportunities available after compulsory education, and gain practical guidance on demystifying higher education for care-experienced students.
The sessions are delivered in collaboration with the Kent and Medway Progression Federation (KMPF), Canterbury Christ Church University, and the University for the Creative Arts. Professionals can choose the campus most convenient for them:
