More than 100 delegates joined us on 24th April for the launch of the Kent and Medway Boys’ Impact Hub — a new regional initiative focused on tackling the national issue of boys’ attainment and progression.

The event, held at the University of Kent, brought together educators, practitioners, and stakeholders from across the region to explore how we can collectively improve outcomes for boys in education.

Attendees heard from a range of expert speakers, who shared insights, research, and practical strategies for championing boys’ achievement and engagement.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all our speakers and everyone who took part in the launch event. Your input and enthusiasm have laid a strong foundation for the work ahead.

Dr Alex Blower (founder of Boys’ Impact)

As a next step, we will be setting up the Kent and Medway Steering Group to help shape and drive forward the Hub’s plans, drawing on the ideas and learning shared during the day. If you would like to be a part of this network, please click through to the expression of interest form.

If you were unable to attend but would like to learn more about the Boys’ Impact Hub and our work in this area, please get in touch with Laura Charter via email: laura.charter@canterbury.ac.uk
