The STEM Attainment Raising Programme, run by the University of Greenwich in partnership with Kent & Medway Progression Federation (KMPF), has been shortlisted for Best Widening Participation Initiative at the HEIST Awards 2026.
The STEM Attainment Raising Programme supports young people from underrepresented backgrounds to build confidence, skills and awareness in science, technology, engineering and maths. Working with schools and partners, the programme combines hands-on learning, academic collaboration and campus experiences to help students see STEM as relevant, accessible and achievable.
The HEIST Awards celebrate best practice and innovation in education marketing, communications and engagement across the sector, highlighting work that delivers real impact for learners and institutions.
This achievement reflects the collective efforts of colleagues and highlights the strength of the university’s collaborative approach in delivering meaningful impact for its students and communities.
