As we approach the 2024 KMPF Partnership Summit, excitement is building for what promises to be an insightful and impactful event. Scheduled for Tuesday, 15th October, this year’s summit will bring together education professionals, university representatives, and key stakeholders to explore the latest strategies for supporting student success.

Gavin Delf, KMPF Hub Manager, said “The 2024 Summit is set to be our best yet. It’s a unique opportunity for collaboration, where we can share our successes, tackle challenges, and continue our collective mission to support student aspirations and attainment across Kent and Medway.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow professionals and learn about the progress KMPF has made over the last 12 months. The summit will feature a range of workshops, including a session on “Why Oracy Matters in Secondary Schools” by Nisha Tank, Head of School Improvement at the National Literacy Trust. Delegates can also explore the latest updates and strategies from UCAS to better support students through their higher education journey.

Representatives from KMPF’s four university partners in Kent and Medway will present their outreach programmes for the coming year, providing insights into how they are working to enhance student opportunities. During the lunch break, pre-arranged meetings between higher education institutions and schools will offer further chances for collaboration.

In addition, Sian Lewis, Head of Parent Engagement at Parentkind, will lead a session on “Involving Parents in Education”. This workshop aims to highlight the crucial role of parents in student success and how universities can play a part in supporting this engagement.

Another key workshop will be led by CXK and the University of Kent, where delegates can learn about their collaborative efforts to support schools and colleges. Student ambassadors may also share their experiences, providing a valuable student perspective on the topics discussed.

A catered lunch will be provided, offering another valuable networking opportunity.

We look forward to welcoming our partners to this year’s event!
