Kent and Medway Progression Federation (KMPF) has produced a new resource to support young people considering careers in sport.
The Careers in Sport Guide has been designed to complement the bespoke Sports and Higher Education programme, which aims to help young people find out more about all the different career opportunities available within sport and how they can get there with the help of higher education.
The guide has been produced in partnership with Charlton Athletic FC Community Trust and staff and students from The University of Kent, The University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University. It contains profiles of staff from Charlton Athletic Football Club about their jobs and how they got where they are today and profiles of student ambassadors who are studying sport at university.
It also features advice and guidance on post-16 options in sport with input from Chris Targett, Information, Advice and Guidance Area Manager at CXK.
Laura Charter, KMPF Schools and Partnerships Lead, said, “We’re delighted to launch this resource and believe it will be of great value for anyone supporting young people to better understand their career options in sport and to inspire them to reach for their goals. We hope you find it useful and would love to hear your feedback.”
