A five-day Youth Summit will take place at the University of Kent at the end of this month.

In partnership with Kent County Council’s Reconnect program, The Kent Youth Summit will be a vibrant and engaging learning opportunity for schools from across Kent taking place over 5 days from June 27 – July 1, 09.30 – 15.00 at The University of Kent campus.

It is free to attend and will give students from Year 9 to Year 13 a platform to reconnect with each other following the pandemic, meet new people and engage in fun interactive activities and workshops to uplift and boost their confidence while catching up with missed learning.

Each day will kick off with morning workshops followed by a complimentary barbeque and the day will end with an interactive headline plenary session that combines learning with fun and creativity.

Expect:

  • A variety of workshops in different subjects addressing global challenges including food and the environment, migration, wellbeing, peace and much more.
  • A platform for debate and the exchange of ideas.
  • Inspirational talks from leading young social innovators and influencers.
  • Activities to engage and inspire taking place throughout the day from discussions and performances, to live music and creative sessions.
  • A range of curriculum led outreach activities and sessions covering Maths bootcamps, Business taster sessions, hands-on Psychology-related activities and presentations, creative writing workshops and science-based workshops and discussions.
  • Full catering on the day.

Places will be on a first-come-first-served basis so please register your interest or alternatively get in touch with the team directly at engage@kent.ac.uk.
