About the activity
A series of three talks designed to give students an insight into what it is like to study at university and whether higher education is the right option for them.
These three talks are part of a progressive curriculum, and complemented by each other, however they can all be delivered as a stand-alone sessions.
Session 1: What do I want to do at university?
- This interactive talk is designed to help students navigate choosing a higher education course and decide on which university might be best for them.
Session 2: How do I apply for university?
- In this interactive talk Students will be guided through the UCAS application system, gaining tips on completing their application and writing their personal statement.
Session 3: How do I afford university?
- Knowing how they are going to fund their studies is often a big worry for students as they prepare for university. It could be a barrier for them when it comes to making an application. This talk will explain government loans and other funding, provide financial tips and tools for independent living and help to bust some student finance myths to put their minds at ease.
The ‘Journey to Uni’ visit is designed to compliment these sessions.
