About the activity

This series of activities is designed for students who lack self-confidence, which may prevent them from reaching their full potential in the classroom. In-school workshops are followed by a visit to our Canterbury campus. The details for this are listed below.

In-school activities:

  • Confidence in the Classroom – Students are encouraged to feel confident in their skill development and notice how these skills could be used in their classroom/studies. Students plan, organise and communicate to complete team tasks, using skills in teamwork, planning, organisation, and communication. They consider how they might use and develop these skills over the next two/three years in preparation for their GCSEs.
  • Creating Healthy Habits –  This activity is designed to enable students to recognise and develop healthy habits and behaviours, which contribute to a positive mindset when approaching academic challenges.

Campus visit:

  • Confidence in Communication – Students explore the shifting nature of communication in today’s world, the role of the media in communicating to the public, and the key features of effective communication in two academic disciplines.
